Brewdog Tokyo 18.2%

It's here, it's dear, is it really beer..?

Brewdog strikes again. 18.2% abv, my god! Is this what living in Fraserburgh drives you too..? The North East Brewery, who describe themselves as " a beacon of non conformity in an increasingly monotone corporate desert" despite having their less interesting products on the shelves of Tesco, have once again courted controversy with their latest brew - Brewdog Tokyo Stout.

They say, "inspired by space invaders" "imperial stout" with "copious amounts" of "speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries."

We say, with a best before of 2019 you have plenty time to savour it. We hope this isn't about style over substance...
Brewdog Tokyo Stout - available now!

  1. News just in... We've been brave, swallowed the cost, supped and tasted it.
    And it's kind of weird!
Sweet chocolate, mocha and a liqueur like initial flavours subside to leave big, dark woody notes (not too dis-similar to Brewdog Paradox).
The alcohol sticks to your cheeks but is never too overpowering.
You know its strong but would never guess Brewdog Tokyo was 18.4% Avb.
In conclusion, it's beer Jim, but not as we know it!

  2. Wasn't a big fan of this one - do like the Paradox though.

What does Sandy make of tactical Nuclear penguin, or Sink the Bismarck?
